Why I became an estate agent

In 1994 whilst at Tower Bridge college I was studying to become an environmental health officer, I attended an audition to be a contestant on Cilla Black’s Blind Date. After appearing on the show and becoming a winning contestant I was approached by a director of a large estate agent. When I met with this company and they explained everything that the role had to offer I was sold and the rest is history.

My estate agency career started way back in 1994, I spent my first few weeks working in Sittingbourne before being shipped off to Medway for a 3 years. I returned back to Sittingbourne for 2 years and then went off to work in the London working in the recruitment industry. 6 years later I returned to estate agency in the Medway towns where I spent the next few years working for a large corporate estate agent working my way up to managing multiple offices. In 2009 I met Alan Lamborn and we decided to set up our own business.

I’m married with 4 children, Bear the Labrador and 2 cats, which takes up a lot of my time! However, I’ve always been a very keen sportsman. Having played football, squash, pool and snooker for many years, these days I’m quite often running and in recent years I’ve done a few tough mudders and trained for the 2020 London marathon (which didn’t take place)! These days, where I can, I spend time playing golf and trying to get my handicap down! As a family we love holidays and try to get away as much as possible.
