Why I became an estate agent

I have always loved listening to the varied situations my husband has encountered during his 30 years as an Estate Agent, the laws around buying and selling have a long and varied history and with each transaction you have the potential to come across something new. As a family we have moved over 15 times in 25 years, once taking us to live in America. I believe this has given me the knowledge, patience, and compassion I believe it takes to help clients through, what is classed as one of the most stressful and certainly the largest financial purchase anyone is likely to make.

I started my career with a bank nearly 30 years ago, which has helped me understand clients’ financial options, after the birth of my first daughter I joined a large Life Assurance Company in the Mortgage Club, dealing with lenders and agreeing exclusive mortgage deals for independent mortgage brokers. After the birth of my second daughter, myself and my husband moved from Greater London to Sittingbourne and with family set up our own mortgage brokers before embarking on a move to Florida. Unfortunately, due to the financial crash in 2007 our move did not work out and we moved back home. At this time my children were young, so I worked in a school until they became more independent, which is when I joined Lamborn & Hill in 2019. I started in Lettings Management before moving over to the Sales and Lettings side, this has given me the opportunity to have an all-round knowledge of the business.

My husband and I have 3 beautiful girls who over the years have kept us busy, and we enjoy spending time with them and their partners, going to music concerts and shows.  I love reading, and recently have joined the local cinema and enjoy watching all types of films, although I do tend to watch horror films from behind my fingers.
